Dua of Zakariya for righteous offspring
This is the du'a the Prophet Zakariya made when, already old and with a barren wife, he saw the provision Allah gave to Maryam and turned to his Lord for a child. Allah answered him with Yahya (John). Muslims say it when hoping to conceive, praying for a righteous child, or asking Allah for good in their family. It is found in the Qur'an, surah Al Imran (3:38).
رَبِّ هَبْ لِي مِن لَّدُنكَ ذُرِّيَّةً طَيِّبَةً ۖ إِنَّكَ سَمِيعُ الدُّعَاءِ
Rabbi hab li min ladunka dhurriyyatan tayyibah, innaka samee'ud-du'a
My Lord, grant me from Yourself good offspring. Indeed, You are the Hearer of supplication.

Whose du'a is this and what happened?
