Mercy for your parents
This is a verse of the Qur'an that Allah Himself teaches children to say for their parents. It works whether they are alive or have passed away, and it is one of the greatest acts of kindness (birr) you can offer them. Say it in your daily du'as and especially in sujud and after the obligatory prayers.
رَبِّ ارْحَمْهُمَا كَمَا رَبَّيَانِي صَغِيرًا
Rabbi-rḥamhumā kamā rabbayānī ṣaghīrā
My Lord, have mercy on them as they raised me when I was small.
Authenticity: Qur'an, surah al-Isra (17:24).
