Healing
For healing (Lord of mankind, remove the harm)
The Prophet ﷺ would say this du'a for a sick person, wiping over them with his right hand. It affirms that healing comes from Allah alone, while you still take the medicine and see the doctor. Say it for yourself or over someone who is ill.
Allāhumma Rabban-nās, adhhibil-ba's, washfi antash-Shāfī, lā shifā'a illā shifā'uk, shifā'an lā yughādiru saqamā
O Allah, Lord of mankind, remove the harm and heal. You are the Healer; there is no cure but Your cure, a cure that leaves no illness behind.
Authenticity: Sahih (authentic), reported by al-Bukhari (5743) and Muslim (2191).

How often
Repeat it sincerely; the Prophet ﷺ said it while placing the hand on the sick person.
Frequently asked
Does making du'a mean I stop taking medicine?
No. Islam pairs trust in Allah with taking the means: the same Prophet ﷺ who taught this du'a also said Allah has sent down a cure for every illness. Make du'a and follow your treatment.
Can I say it for someone else?
Yes. You can recite it over a sick person, and the supplication of a Muslim for their brother in his absence is also answered.
